Flying Lessons

Can you imagine this beautiful bird sitting on a tree branch looking up, looking down, looking up again and thinking, "I wonder what I'm supposed to do now?"

Well, maybe when she was a baby bird.  Maybe when she hadn't tested her wings yet.  Maybe it's like one of our babies that has to learn to walk.  Our baby bird had her own God given flying lessons.

I began to wonder why I've been spending so much time trying to fingure out what I'm supposed to do with the rest of my life.  As a Christian, I can look at the other creatures God has created and I can see they were created for a purpose.  Hmmm... I wonder, was I also created by God for a (oh, I can't believe I'm going to say this) purpose.

Exodus 31 (verses 1-3) tells us, "The Lord said to Moses, 'See, I have called by name Bezalel the son of Uri, son of Hur of the tribe of Judah, and I have filled him with the Spirit of God, with the ability and intelligence, with knowledge and all craftsmanship."

God called Bezalel -- just in case Moses didn't know which Bezalel God was talking about, He mad sure to identify the specific person's tribe and family.  God filled him with the Spirit of God and gave him the ability to do the task that was required.

Bezalel was called and God provided.  Maybe you're wondering who God created you to be.  He has given us His word, He has given us the Holy Spirit, He has given us our very own instincts and desires.  God creates.  God calls.  God provides.  And we get to fly.

I hope you have a very wonderful and blessed day!
